Hello Realmers,
He’s a fellow partnered content creator that comes from the USA and he’s passionate about board games… but has over 6 thousand hours of RotMG on his hands. Meet Cebmofroz.
Name, Nationality and Age?
I’m cebmofroz, from Kentucky in America and I’m 23 years old
Is making content your main activity?
Making Content used to be my only source of income for a very long time I couldn’t find a job and had very little money so I decided to stream realm and after a couple years ended up being able to keep myself alive long enough to get a stable job! I owe RotMG quite a lot tbh I’m not sure if I would be here today if it weren’t for the community and friends I met on this game. But anyways now days I just work at a Best Buy It’s pretty chill I’m the guy who goes around setting up all the displays like the laptops, soundbars, tvs, etc.
Any hidden talents or hobbies?
Hmmm well to be honest I am not the most talented of individuals unless you consider being dumb and dying 24/7 on stream for people to be a talent lmao. But I guess one of my favorite hobbies outside of all of this is board games. I spend way way way too much time watching board game reviews from channels like “Shut Up & Sit Down” to find the best new board games to play with my friends and family!
How and when did you start playing RotMG?
Well 6 years ago my cousin introduced me to this game and I played the game for about 30 minutes before dying in a hive and decided the game seemed boring and quit (LOL!). Then whenever the 2017 supporter item came out my cousin convinced me to get on and collect the item and for whatever reason I played the game and actually enjoyed it that time so much I basically became addicted and have played for almost 6k hours now.
Favorite Class, Dungeon and Item?
This one is kinda a hard one for me tbh as I have very found memories of Sewers (I know everyone else hated them but me) when I first started playing them as me and my cousin would rogue rush them together every single day for def pots and it was the main dungeon we ran basically. Now days though it has to be Oryx 3 as it’s just such a blast to play. My favorite class though is easily Knight cause I enjoy just making it through dungeons and not really caring about dps meta. Lastly my favorite item has to be Colo Sword just look at how cool that weapon looks and idk why but it feels so satisfying to hit all your shots with it once you learn it well enough.
What other games do you play?
I mainly just play older games like RotMG, I think I am just a man stuck in nastalgia because very few new games interest me I always end up going back to Toontown, Wizard101, Runescape, Halo, Minecraft, Pikmin 2, Mario Sunshine & Basically any other game I grew up with that I have found memories for.
What makes RotMG unique?
100% the perma death. I have played many many mmo’s in my time and the big thing I noticed is I just end up getting bored of them because lots of them feel way too easy and not very punishing even if they are harder. Something about always being on the edge of your seat in this game and getting adrenaline rushes when you’re doing hard content especially on ppe’s makes me always come back to this game time and time again.
What are the things you love the most in the game?
Well probably first and foremost would be the white bag mechanic because I feel like that’s what gets most people hooked is getting their first white lmao. My favorite part about this game was going through and trying to collect every white from every dungeon but by now there is only a few whites I need left sadly. Other than that I would say it would have to be this community it’s the main reason I have stayed around streaming this game for many years now. The people on this game are some of the most supporting and fun people I have ever met I know the game is in a much more toxic state over the whole o3 situation but there are still just so many kind individuals who make this game feel like more than just a game to me tbh.
What would you change?
Main changes are that there should be 0 weapons/abiltys in the nexus that cost gold it’s just a noob trap imo, mystery boxes should display percentages on them, the tutorial should be revamped to truly show you that you what to do after level 20 like doing snake pits/sprite worlds for pots and such, & most of the other things Deca has actually been fixing over the years like spam bots and lots of the bugs and issues (maybe causing a few more in the process as well but shhhh I didn’t say that lmfao).
What made you want to partner with DECA for creating content?
Main reason I wanted partner was because I love this game and community and wanted to be able to be as close to it as possible. The benefits are just pretty insane though like getting free realm gold every month and being able to give out realm gold really helps out so much I haven’t had to spend money in the game since I became a partner! Also being able to have closed testing sessions and show off things early is extremely fun, being featured in youtube videos on their channel is something I never even imagined would happen, being able to just put a message in the discord if I need help with anything from DECA is amazing, & in general this just helps out with my streaming career I was even able to put in my Twitch Partner app that I was partnered with the game I stream and now I am one!
How do you see the game in 10 years?
Honestly I can’t imagine what this game is even gonna look like in 10 years. Just look at how much content comes out in a single year now days. So many people come in my streams telling me they haven’t played in a year and the game is virtually unrecognizable to them now and I have 0 clue how to even catch them up to date besides linking the 2020 recap video lol. Just hope eventually there is marketing and the game becomes much bigger than it is now so I could truly do this full time. When Exalt first came out it blew up again and there was such a new influx of players and I wanna see that again it was insane to see and so many streamers were expecting to go full time with it back then as lots of us were earning 3-4k a month for the first few months after Exalt came out it was actually insane.
