Community UpdateTags: , ,

Hello Mighty Realmers,

Big and exciting news: we are presenting reworked Sprite World and Deadwater Docks dungeons, the new Class, and a new notification system. You’ll be able to check it all out in this weekend’s public testing session (starting soon on T1). Please note that the new Dungeons will be accessed normally, through the regular Realm Loop. Some members of our tester group will be opening the reconstructed or modified dungeons from time to time, so stay alert.

You’ll also be able to “Choose your destiny” for the first time in the Realm history. And we will be updating you daily about the status of those choices.

The Summoning

For the next few days, from the 22nd, until the 29th of March, YOU will have the chance to choose the fate of all the players. By completing Quests you’ll be able to take sides in an epic clash that will only end on the last day of the campaign.

The Realm is crumbling.

Surreptitiously, the gears are set in motion once again. However strange, though, Oryx doesn’t seem to have noticed. Yet.

No, the powers that are awakening are of a different nature. They are subtle, and only the most sensitive creatures have yet sensed their effects. What is it? The Heroes of the Nexus were on the fence.

And then, an event without precedent happened.

Arachna’s Son

One day, in one of the infinite realities that form the Realm, the Son of Arachna stood against some adventurers. He was strangely talkative, and even though no hero would ever call this monster “friendly”, it did indeed reveal pretty concerning information.

“IT IS AWAKENING. I FEEL. POWER, I NEED. MOTHER’S CURSED. “

The Archivists of the Nexus got to work. They quickly put together the known history of Son of Arachna. The Realm Eye was consulted.

“Son of Arachna was exiled from his mother’s lair due to his unnatural strength. Arachna herself was said to be a very talented maiden of the old times. She was cursed by Oryx and, year after year, she lost all traces of her humanity. But it is possible that she might still have a slight of consciousness. Some hidden wisdom that might somehow serve the Heroes’ cause.”

Some Heroes were moved by the story of Arachna. Others empathized with her son, a powerful creature who, even though an Oryx ally in name, wanted to seize the opportunity of grabbing this new power that is awakening for the sake of her mother. Lastly, there were those who liked the idea of looking for this new awakening power that Oryx is still oblivious to, and investigate its possibilities.

The Crystal Prisoner

The Son of Arachna was not the only entity to feel the waves of the new power that are slowly permeating the Realm. The Crystal Prisoner, usually dazed in her own madness, became much more verbose too.

“Curse the hand that touches this magic, as it is only a trick of my Enemy to keep angering me and my people.”

In clear reference to Oryx, the Heroes of the Nexus were able to deduce that the Crystal Prisoner was somehow wary of this new power. Indeed it was a bit strange that Oryx himself had not uttered a single word about it. So a faction of the previously intrigued adventurers decided to side with the Crystal Prisoner. Is the new power a trick from Oryx? If so, what is he planning? Are new clues out there that can be used to discover his true intentions?

For the first time in years, the Heroes of the Nexus are split on what to do. The side of Arachna wants to push for investigating the power itself and grab it for their own use before the enemy does. The side of the Crystal Prisoner is wary of it and wants to look for clues that might tell them where it’s coming from and, if it’s Oryx’s fault, prepare for whatever trap the Mad God is scheming.

The Tinkerer

Always in the pursuit of profit and material gain, the unreliable and duplicitous Tinkerer has offered his support to both sides of this rivalry. How helpful this support is to anyone but the Tinkerer himself is something that those who deal with him need to decide for themselves…

The Summoning is an unprecedented event that will see you, Realmers, pitted against each other. From 03/22/21 until 03/29/21, you will be able to participate in a community campaign consisting of three quests. Your choice in the first quest (once-per-account, item of choice) will determine which of the other two (repeatable) you will be able to complete, and the total contributions towards either side will determine a community reward: Blueprint for the Summoner’s Mace of the Depths, or the Crystal Mace. In addition, players for each side will receive a unique pet skin based on their choice after the campaign is over – whether their side won or lost. And in addition to the addition, the total amount of Summoning quests completed will determine the contents of a free pack.

The Rewards

Winner determines that you will receive the Blueprint for one:
