Greetings, Realmers,
Tomorrow, Friday the 6th, preparations for a great battle are starting. You can participate in The Vying until Monday, Aug 16th, choosing your side in the clash of Chaos and Order and at the same time following Oryx’s path to greatness – which was also the Shattered Kingdom’s descent into ruin. Many choices made in this era formed the Realm we know today, and choices must now also be made by you. Perhaps more than one choice.
At the start of the event, you will be able to choose to carry the Banner of Chaos and represent the enigmatic forces of the Void; or carry the Banner of Law and side with the still mysterious Daeva, whose arrival is now imminent. At the end of the event, your choice will grant you a faithful companion in the battle to come. And keep the banners, the emblems of your choice – the peculiarities you will notice in their description are yet to be explained. For now, they will just be used to exchange at the TInkerer! And make sure to keep them safe in your vault, since you do not need to actually carry these banners into battle. Just metaphorically.
In the first days of the event, you will have to do as Oryx did and face Lord Ruthven. Exchange one Mark of Ruthven in the A Choice quest to receive your banner and decide whether you are rampaging through the Manor for your own gain, or for the greater good. After that, you will be able to continue forging your path and do some repeatable quests…

For the days these quests are available, Tokens of Strife will also be dropping in the dungeons, and the dungeons will also boast increased XP rates. Keep at least three stacks of Tokens of Strife, as you will need them to receive your rewards when Month of the Mad God begins!
And your choice as a community will impact the contents of a free pack at the start of MotMG, which will contain an Antinomy skin and campaign tokens – either from the Void side, or from the Daeva side. The majority will decide!
