The Third Dimension Reconstruction

This dungeon has long been a point of contention among players since its release. The rushing was unfair, the main boss took too long, and it just felt unrewarding. This rework aims to fix all of this, and more. Everything about 3D has changed. The art has been completely redone, the structure has been overhauled, the bosses and enemies have been reworked, and new UTs have been added.

The art in the the Third Dimension has been changed to give it more visual variety. Almost all of the enemies now have unique projectiles to get a better idea of what you’re being attacked by. After the first boss is defeated, the second half uses a different tile set to reflect progression through the dungeon. Some new animations have been added on top of the resprites.

The structure of the dungeon itself has been changed to be more sprawling. The guaranteed treasure room is still present, but now it appears in the second half (more can still spawn in the first half). There are a handful of rare rooms and some ultra rare rooms that drop potions and a new UT ring at a higher rate. The dungeon is distinctly split into two halves, functionally being two dungeons for the price of one.

The bosses and enemies are considered the worst parts of the dungeon by some. The enemies made the rushing unfair with how debuff heavy they were and miserable to clear because of some invulnerability phases. Invulnerability phases across the board have been cut down or removed to improve the pacing substantially. In addition to the enemy reworks, “rare” enemies have been added that have a 1/10 chance of replacing the typical enemy spawns. The bosses themselves have been changed to be more engaging. The worm boss has a smaller arena with new attack patterns, and the Tesseract has more involved phases. She now uses an inheritance system for added variety to her fight. The first phase adds projectiles to the second phase. The second phase adds a minion to the third. She has 3 different rage phases depending on which phase you fought first.

The loot in the dungeon has changed quite a bit. All tiered loot that drops from the enemies to the bosses has a guaranteed slot. The consumable now heals 100 HP in addition to what it already did. A hybrid support/damage lute has been added for the bard players among us. Both bosses can drop a new morning star, intended as a utility focused counterpart to the Wand of the Fallen. Rare enemies throughout the dungeon can now drop the Ring of Cubed Wisdom; it grants some wisdom and relative stat increases to all other stats based on how much bonus wisdom you have equipped (either through item stats or flat stat enchants). The Tesseract Goddess now drops an elusive pet skin on top of all this.

QoL

Several QoL improvements are included in this release.

New Opacity Options

We’ve made some changes on the opacity options based on the feedback we’ve been receiving.

Instead of having one general slider that affected everything, we’ve replaced it with individual sliders for each category. The goal is to give more precise control an options so we improve the visibility in game. The general slider has been removed. All sliders currently range from 10 to 100.

We also made some changes to the categories, as well as added new ones:

– Pets are now handled separately.

– In Summons, we’ve included Necromancer minions.

– We’ve added a dedicated slider for Trickster Decoys.

We’ve also adjusted how opacity is applied when a player matches multiple categories.

– If a player is in party, guild, and locked, the system now applies the highest opacity value among those categories.

– Users that are not in one of the mentioned systems are affected by the players slider.
At the same time, now the “Ally Summons” Toggle affects the Necromancer minions.

Out of Range Abilities

Currently, when an ability is cast out of range, it fails to fire while still consuming MP. This has been changed, instead of not firing, the ability will now activate at maximum range (as long as there is enough MP). Additionally, hovering over an ability now visually displays its range.

At the same time, abilities can no longer be activated if the corresponding key is pressed while interacting with the right-side UI panel (inventory, minimap, etc.). Since this UI is fully opaque and covers the game view, this change prevents accidental activations and avoids conflicts with UI actions that use the same key bindings.

Other

  • Added a “Shinies” filter to the Vault Chest UI (Seasonal & Non-Seasonal) to quickly view Shiny items. When active, Shiny items appear only in the Shinies tab and are hidden from their default equipment categories. If the Shiny filter is not enabled, Shiny items appear under their normal equipment category when using equipment filters.
  • Fixed typo in the description of the Dummy in the Guildhall, now it’s ‘dummy’ and not ‘dummmy’.
  • Crucible NPC in nexus has been spread further from the other NPC. To avoid players accidentally converting their seasonal characters to normal, instead of enabling Crucible.
  • Updated the New Battle Pass PopUp.
  • Added a grid layout and a horizontal slider for the rewards displayed after clicking the “Claim All” button, since they often extended beyond the screen and it was difficult to clearly see what had been obtained.
  • The red Crucible icon now appears on the player’s active characters instead of the yellow outline.
  • Updated Guild Potions:
    • pots: 8 Health Potions and 8 Magic Potions.
    • hp: 16 Health Potions.
    • mp: 16 Magic Potions.

  • Updated the current missions ui to display progress information without needing to hover over the mission.
  • Added an informative icon next to the pet icon in the pet yard, so new users know that information can be found there.
  • Ent ancients now are not blocked from respawning by other nearby ent ancients, they should respawn 5 minutes after they are killed.
  • Heroic UDL boss Loot is now dropped in the center of the room so septavius cannot drop unreachable loot.
