Public Testing – Heroic Udl and Infernal Abyss

Development Update

Advanced Realmers!

As we approach MotMG we have several new things to share with you, the first of which is the introduction of two new advanced dungeons. This time around we are focusing on much earlier game content, selecting the most iconic pair of older dungeons in the game, the Abyss of Demons and Undead Lair!

This weekend on public testing you will be able to check out these new dungeons with the following changes:

General Changes

Like with our latest changes to Advanced nest and steamworks these dungeons will be getting their own names and themes. The abyss being known as the Infernal Abyss of Demons and the Udl borrowing the old name of Heroic Undead Lair.

With these dungeon introductions the current Heroic UDL and Abyss will be made legacy dungeons, still able to be run via keys dropped from the key fairy mod.

These dungeons work very similarly to the other advanced dungeons, applying a 50% reduction to all healing you receive while within the dungeon. Alongside this change however both dungeons have gained new elite enemy variants to challenge the player and vastly changed boss fights remixing existing attacks into ones that can threaten even experienced players. These dungeons are aiming to fall in line with standard Veteran content at Difficulty level 6.

Both dungeons gain the normal 30% loot boost and 90% exp boost that all advanced dungeons get and will have their tiered drops increased to match the level of content they belong to. New artifacts have been added to both Undead Lair and Abyss of Demons and will also receive a 5x drop rate within the advanced variants like nest and steamworks.

Heroic Undead Lair

Septavius has won the power struggle over souls in the realm and has laid his claim to the best of the dead to bolster his own personal forces. The halls of the undead lair grow sinister with necrotic energy which Septavius himself is drawing on to increase his power substantially.

-Base enemies from the Udl have a 30-60% damage increase as many of them did extremely low damage values.

-Drops from the Death Knight setpiece in Dead Church and the Snow Troll enemy in Runic Tundra. The Death Knight’s Library drop has been moved to the Shady Sect Setpiece.

-Drops a brand new poison ability Spirit’s Bane which scales heavily with wisdom and boosts the user’s wisdom with usage.

Infernal Abyss of Demons

Increased volcanic activity has uncovered vast veins of Adamantine and Mithril within the Abyss of Demons. The smiths of the Abyss have stoked their forges hotter than ever to process the new found ores equipping themselves and the other denizens with enhanced gear. The abyss burns hotter than ever and Malphas has crafted himself an Enchanted gold-alloy armor that makes him more durable and powerful.

-Features many brand new room types and will generate many more “fortress” rooms than a traditional abyss.

-Drops from the Infernal Ironsmith setpiece in Risen Hell and the Sunflower Sentinel enemy in Floral Escape.

-Drops a brand new helmet ability The Adamantine Helm which boosts a warrior’s vitality and healing.

-A few new rooms have been added to the base Abyss of Demons and a brand new UT armor has also been added to the base dungeon. Berserker’s Plate is a Heavy Armor UT focused on gaining more Dps when damaged.
