Realmers

Another week, another testing session. Have a look at an upcoming event, the Knight and Archer Class Modernizations, Account Levels and some QoL and Balance changes!

This Testing Session is once again on Testing 1 so you can use all your old characters.

St Patricks Day Event

The Leprechauns are lose! Have a first look at our upcoming Reconstruction St Patricks Day Event. Collect Reconstruction Tokens and turn them in at the Tinkerer. Collect new XP and Loot Boost Engravings and more!

Please be aware that the Engravings are not available during this Testing Session.

As always, everything you see here is up for changes and might not be the final version of the event.

Realm Events

Different Shamrocks have a chance to spawn in the Realm:

3 Clove Shamrock: Drops different utility items and has a chance to drop ST Patricks UTs.

4 Clove Shamrock: Drops a Rainbow Road Portal

5 Clove Shamrock: Drops the same loot as the 3 Clove Shamrock with a better chance for rare loot. Additionally drops a portal to the Ice Cave

Construction Leprechaun: Spawns in Adept Biomes. 1 per Realm and has a chance to drop Loot Boost Engravings.

Dungeon Events

The “Yellow Leprechaun” Mod will be active during the Event. After the boss of the dungeon is defeated, a Yellow Leprechaun will spawn which drops Tokens for the Event and has a chance to drop the Loot Boost Engraving.

  • The Crawling Depths – Old Brick x3 with 100% chance and Old Brick x1 with 50% chance

Knight and Archer Class Modernizations

This season it’s Knight and Archers’ turn to update their abilities to  our modern standards! Along with the statMod effect that we’ve been adding to all abilities in previous reworks and modernizations, we additionally added two new effects to the game in which Knight and Archer will be the first to make use of! For Knight, we always felt that it should be a proper tank but def wasn’t enough to separate it from the rest of the crowd. Now, when Knights use their tiered abilities, they will receive a 25% damage reduction for a total of 5 seconds! 

This damage reduction is calculated after def is applied which means it will also reduce the damage taken from armor piercing damages as well as when the player is armor broken. On the flipside, archer abilities will now apply damage vulnerability to enemies hit by it’s quiver, it works exactly the same as damage reduction but this will instead increase the post-def damage taken by enemies hit. Additionally all quivers have received an increase to it’s number of projectiles to work better with bows 3 shot patterns. 

Check the shop on the testing servers to try out each and every Quiver and Shield!

Account Level

We already showed you our Account Level feature. Since the last Public Testing we have updated and change some of the rewards. Please have a look at the feature again and let us know what you think.

Please be aware that we heard your feedback about the T0 Items being not accessible after unlocking the Account Levels. We therefore have decided that for now the T0 Items will be found in the Bazaar once the Feature goes live.

Account Levels are a new feature coming to Realm of the Mad God which lets you gain EXP while playing to unlock some special Rewards.

You will be able to gain EXP with all types of characters and nothing will be lost on character death. This is a permanent feature for your whole account and is not tied to 1 character.

How to Access

Click the “Account Level” Button next to your Character Overview on the top left.

How to gain Account Level EXP

You have several options to gain EXP to progress your Account Levels.

1: On Death

When you die, you will receive a set amount of EXP based on the value of your items. The higher the tier, the better the EXP gain.

2: Completing Dungeons

Completing Dungeons will give you a set amount of EXP based on the difficulty level of the Dungeon. 

3: Defeating Enemies

Defeating enemies will give you a set amount of EXP based on the difficulty of the enemy. 

Rewards

A series of different rewards can be unlocked by completing all 50 Levels.

In general you will be able to unlock:

  • Emotes
  • Titles
  • Fame
  • Pet Food
  • Gear
  • Permanent Account Unlocks

Special Unlocks:

Season 20 Mission Tree

During this testing session you will be able to have a first look at our planned Mission Tree for Season 20. Please be aware that the rewards and requirements are not always final and are up to feedback. The background is not the one which will be used on the live servers.

Quality of Life and Balance

-Forgefire of moonlight village and steamworks upgrade items is now 400 to match specpens upgrade items.

-Using a Vial after MBC is dead and opening the void will now grant a second Def exalt.

-Ice golem paralyze duration lowered, higher delay between attacks

-Tundra tribe fighter slight attack frequency nerf

-Slowed Submarine movement speed slightly

-Plague doctor is now paralyze immune to prevent unintended interactions on attack change

-Clerics in dead church no longer heal other enemies

-Shady sect follower health cut in half

-Flesh Golem daze shot duration reduced to 0.5 seconds

-Illegal animal merchant parrots hp reduced to 500

-Reduced Alpha werewolf defense to 35

-Reduced beta werewolf Hp to 5500

-Reduced Gamma Werewolf Hp to 3000

-Removed sinister crow defense

-Reduced Sword in the Stone’s Defense to 30

-Reduced Slumbering Dragon’s Hp to 18000

-Reduced Dragon’s Treasure Hp to 16000 and def to 30

-Reduced Demonic Effigy Worshipper hp to 5500

-Reduced Pirates Tavern Captain hp to 16000

-Reduced Pirates Tavern Piano hp to 8000

-Rookie level setpieces now all properly respawn

-Ent ancients per realm reduced from 10-18 to 3-6

-Jungle Temples per realm reduced from 5-8 to 2-4

-Great coil snake, Phoenix lord, Death mage, oasis giant, and Red demons now have actual tiered loot drops and are not solely relying on their loot chest

-Nerfed versions of Phylactery bearers/Haunted Spirits, and Nature Sprites have been added back to the base versions of Lich and Ent ancients so their drops can be acquired again.

– Readded Rat Minigame to the Abandoned City

– edens embrace lightning properly aims at cursor now

-Range based scaling on all limited event encounters (Keyper, Gardner, UFO, etc)

– Normalized HP values of Adept level encounters
