Realmers,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ve taken action against a number of accounts involved in cheating and duping activity over the past weeks, and we wanted to share a quick update on where things stand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So far we\u2019ve issued bans across several waves targeting accounts connected to these activities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 12 accounts in the first wave
\u2022 13 accounts in the second wave
\u2022 26 accounts in the third wave
\u2022 30 accounts in the most recent wave<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s 81 main accounts banned so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with these, we\u2019ve also banned a number of duper and shell accounts tied to the same operations, but the numbers above refer to the primary accounts involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also want to address something we\u2019ve seen players asking about a lot, why these kinds of actions sometimes take longer than expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The honest answer is that parts of our enforcement process were previously blocked by certain dependencies on our side. That made it harder for us to move as quickly as we wanted to in some cases. We\u2019re not completely out of those limitations yet, but we\u2019ve recently made progress that allows us to move forward with investigations like these more actively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ve been able to spend much more time digging into cheating networks, tracking related accounts, and taking action where it\u2019s needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bans you\u2019re seeing now are not the end of this work. These investigations are ongoing and we expect to identify and ban more accounts connected to these activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, we\u2019re very close to some major milestones in terms of improvements to our internal tools and detection methods<\/strong>. These changes will significantly expand our ability to identify and act on in-game violations, helping us reach cases that previously would have been much harder to detect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We know how frustrating cheating has been for players who care about the game and want a fair environment. It\u2019s something we take seriously, and we\u2019re going to keep pushing on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
