                                              ST Sets<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              Continuing from our last balance update we are going to be updating a number of lacking ST items and sets. Our goal is to make both individual items and sets as a whole more worth considering. This time we are going to tackle a few more key sets and also get at least one set for each class that didn’t get a set updated last time or during very recent modernizations.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              \n\n\n\n

                                              Killbilly Warrior <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              We passed up this set last time because we felt we needed to do a bit more work on it than the other two warrior sets. Pretty much every single aspect of this set needs changes so we are going to try and reinforce the glass cannon and bleed type warrior build this set seems to be aiming for thematically. This involves shifting the stats of this set towards dex and fire rate to reinforce the bleed theme coming from the axe and giving some more love to the other parts.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Jagged Hatchet <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              This item was among the first to utilize bleeding as a player effect, however it also was built with low fire rate. This is somewhat counterintuitive as bleed scales solely on how fast you can shoot. We will be giving it a regular fire rate and adjusting its damage accordingly, the rest of the set will then focus on increasing its damage through even more fire rate.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Rate of Fire: 60% -> 100%<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Damage: 245-260 -> 175-200<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Bleed Damage: 100\/s for 3 seconds -> 85\/s for 3 seconds<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Burlap Cowl <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              By itself this helmet was pretty much the worst helm in the game, only providing berserk and having less def than other helmets. With the ring of the set it gained a paralyzing effect but that still didn\u2019t make it very good. We are going to try and turn this into a better dps helm with some downside in survivability.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Passive Stats: 8 DEF -> 8 Def 4 DEX<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              New: 20 dmg\/s Bleed on self for 3 seconds on use<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              New: +8 DEX and +4 SPD for 3 seconds on use<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Removed: Paralyze proc when used with Headless Ted<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Overalls of Endurance <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              In spite of the description of this armor, this is built as a survivability armor. In general this goes against the theme of the set and it is also very similar to Cask Corslet. This is going to be reworked to be more of a damage based armor in a somewhat similar fashion to Berserker\u2019s Breastplate.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Stats:40 HP 17 DEF 7 VIT -> 40 HP 14 DEF 5 DEX<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              New: On taking 20 or more damage gain +5 DEX for 4 seconds (does not stack)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Headless Ted <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              Headless Ted is a very forgettable ring, its stats are ok for the set and doesn\u2019t have a ton of room to be buffed more in pure stats but it just needs something more going on for it in the set.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Stats: 90 HP 6 DEX -> 90 HP 6 DEX 4 SPD<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              New: On shoot while bleeding gain a 20\/s Healing buff<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              2 Piece Bonus: 20 HP 10 MP 4 ATT 2 DEF -> 25 HP 4 DEX 2 DEF<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              3 Piece Bonus: 35 HP 15 MP 6 ATT 4 DEF -> 40 HP 6 DEX 4 DEF<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              4 Piece Bonus: 55 HP 25 MP 10 ATT 10 DEX 6 DEF -> 75 HP 15 DEX 6 DEF 4 SPD<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              The 4th piece bonus is losing some overall dps stats, but is more than made up for by the addition of stats in the rest of the set.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Swoll Paladin <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                                              Being one of the first sets the Swoll paladin falls into the trap a lot of the older sets do of having little to no cohesive theme in their items. Pixie was a good sword for a long while and its still decent but the rest of the set just has no identity or place. The set is now going to focus on being an earlygame survivability set with some decent dps by focusing on HP and Att. We are moving away from the Def focus as other paladin ST sets focus on def and we feel HP fits the Swoll Fairy theme better.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Pixie-Enchanted Sword <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              Pixie has fallen out of relevance some amount over time, however we don’t believe it is particularly underpowered, there are just some better options out there. This will not be buffed at this time however we will be swapping its sprite with the legacy version as should’ve happened some time ago.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Swapped legacy and non legacy Pixie Sword Sprites<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Seal of the Enchanted Forest <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              This seal struggled a bit because its speed penalty is too high for its def buff for anything but early game content. While a def seal could be a useful niche we will be changing it entirely so we can fit it to the new goal of the set and let marble seal cover the def niche. We are also shifting some of the attack out of this items passive stats and into the sets bonuses.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Stats: 5 Def 9 ATT 9 WIS -> 50 HP 4 ATT<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Removed: Def and -Spd buff on ability use<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              New: Gain a 40\/s Healing buff on Self for 3 seconds<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              New: Gain a 250 HP Buff on Self for 6 seconds, this does not scale the buff amount with wisdom<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Fairy Plate <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              This armor is an alright early game item, generally better than tiered options, but we think it could be a bit better by shifting into a sort of discount breastplate of new life.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Swapped legacy and non legacy Fairy Plate Sprites<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Stats: 20 DEF 40 HP 40 MP -> 16 DEF 80 HP 40 MP<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Ring of Pure Wishes  <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              We want to shift the set away from def and more towards HP so we will be rearranging the stats of this ring a little. We also want more ST rings to have niche benefits that synergize with their sets while not being specifically locked to them so this ring will get a small proc bonus.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Stats: 45 HP 45 MP 8 Def -> 90 HP 45 MP 4 DEF<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              New: On shoot while you have the healing buff, gain 4 ATT for 3 seconds, 6 second cooldown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Set Bonuses<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              This set has a weird set of bonuses being exactly the same bonuses for every level, this will be reworked to provide more dps stats and also actually increase the bonus per piece.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Nordic Knight <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                                              This set can be pretty fun to use and isn\u2019t struggling too bad compared to some other sets, however it is a little lacking. This is even more the case since its source dungeon has gotten moved up a lot in difficulty. In general we will be trying to keep the identities of the parts of this set but just make them better.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Dalvar\u2019s Battle Axe <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              This weapon wasn\u2019t too bad if you were comparing it to Acclaim, but given its now in an exaltation dungeon it really needs to be comparable to Splendor.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Damage: 200-215 -> 205-225<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Sunken Buckler <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              The purpose of this shield is to create lingering walls of stuns for dragging minions through. Unfortunately it just doesn\u2019t last quite long enough to really make use of this. We also want to increase its passive speed a little.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Stats: 10 DEF 6 SPD 4 VIT -> 10 DEF 8 SPD 4 VIT<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Projectile Lifetime: 2.2 seconds -> 4 seconds<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Chainmail Body Armor <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              This armor is just a little lackluster and we would like to increase it\u2019s speed but don\u2019t want to encroach on Zarvoxx\u2019s territory too much. This means its only getting a small bump at this time but hopefully it can see some use with other items in the set still.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Stats: 20 DEF 5 SPD 6 VIT -> 20 DEF 6 SPD 6 VIT<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Gjallarhorn <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              This ring does have a powerful effect for the set it is in but does not do much as a ring outside of this. It needs just a little more stats and for it\u2019s proc to be more reliable.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Stats: 60 HP 4 ATT -> 80 HP 4 ATT<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Armored Proc Threshold: 33% HP -> 50% HP<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Armored Proc Cooldown: 25 Seconds -> 15 Seconds<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Berserk Proc Duration: 4 seconds -> 5 seconds<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Set Bonuses<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              These set bonuses are fairly focused and decent for the set, the 4th piece is just lacking a little bit and we want to move some of the hp a bit earlier.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              2 Piece Bonus: 20 HP 3 ATT 2 SPD -> 25 HP 3 ATT 2 SPD<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              3 Piece Bonus: 30 HP 3 ATT 4 SPD -> 35 HP 3 ATT 4 SPD<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              4 Piece Bonus: 70 HP 6 SPD -> 60 HP 6 ATT 6 SPD<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Phantom Archer <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                                              This set has gotten a little incongruent as time has passed, the original set didn\u2019t have a real theme with its stats and now its a set with a speed scaling quiver and no speed. We are going to try and shift it to be a close ranged but fast archer set to synergize more with its health and quiver.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Deathless Crossbow <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              Once upon a time deathless was pretty much the best bow in the game, it\u2019s been a long time since then and now it really doesn’t have a place. This deals very similar damage to a bow of covert havens with the benefit of only needing to land one shot for it\u2019s damage, unfortunately the true range of tiered bows has gotten much longer which makes this bow have a much less noticeable benefit in this way. We are left with two options, either give it more range, or shorten its range a bit more and give it more damage, we are going with the latter.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Projectile range: 5.6 -> 4.8<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Damage: 170-205 -> 180-235<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Quiver of Shrieking Specters <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              This quiver is pretty much fine, if a little too strong when used right for where it drops. That said it doesn\u2019t have any passive stats and we feel it could use a little.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              New Stats: 4 SPD<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Revenant Ring <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              This ring is absolutely a victim of old ST ring design, it just doesn\u2019t have good stats. It\u2019s statline is going to be fully shifted so it fits the sets identity better, and we will give it a small synergistic proc.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Stats: 50 HP 3 ATT 9 VIT -> 60 HP 5 SPD 4 ATT<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              New Proc: On Shoot while Speedy gain an additional 5 SPD for 1 second<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Set Bonuses<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              This set has some pretty good bonuses but they are focusing all of certain stats on individual tiers which while interesting causes the set to only be useful at specific piece amounts. We will redistribute these stats and shift a few totals around to fit the set better.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              2 Piece Bonus: 5 DEX 5 VIT -> 20 HP 20 MP 3 ATT 3 SPD<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              3 Piece Bonus: 95 MP 11 DEF -> 30 HP 30 MP 4 DEF 6 SPD<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              4 Piece Bonus: 105 HP 6 ATT ->  50 HP 50 MP 6 ATT 6 DEF<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Hollow King Necromancer <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                                              This set is overall pretty decent with a good skull and alright robe, however it does waste some of its potential with stats it does not need and it could probably use some improved set bonuses.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Edictum Praetoris <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              This staff is very comparable to Cosmic in damage, almost too much so. It\u2019s to the point that this staff really doesn\u2019t do anything worth calling it a unique staff. We are going to try and change it up just a bit by cutting some range for some damage.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Range: 8.55 Tiles -> 6.66 Tiles<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Damage: 45-125 -> 55-125<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Interregnum <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              This ring has the right set of stats for this set but is just missing something to make it worth taking. A new proc should, like many other rings in this update, be enough to give it that little edge without making it too good a statstick by itself.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Raijin Disciple Ninja <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                                              This set was improved recently with ninjas modernization, however it could still use a couple of improvements to make it more cohesive overall.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Reikoku<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              This katana has received a number of buffs over time, however it still feels just a little lackluster. We will be buffing it just a small amount to give it a tiny edge.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Damage: 75-90 -> 80-90<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Hirejou Tenne <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              Tenne is iconic as one of the earliest extreme DPS armors, however this actually doesn\u2019t synergize at all with the set it is a part of and in fact is somewhat anti-synergistic due to low def. We don\u2019t want to compromise its existing identity to force it into the set but we do want it to have some synergy in the set. To do this we will add a small proc when used with reikoku.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              New Proc: When worn with reikoku, on ability gain 5 def for 6 seconds (10 second cooldown)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Heavenly Magatama <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              This ring really doesn\u2019t do much of value, neither to the set or outside of it. We mostly just need to shift its stats to something the set actually cares about so it works better.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Stats: 80 HP 5 VIT 5 SPD -> 80 HP 6 DEF 5 VIT<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Skuld Rogue <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                                              This set got a lot better with its ability getting vastly improved in rogue modernization unfortunately it still has a couple of issues as a full set so it needs just a bit of attention.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Etherite Dagger <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              Etherite is mostly fine, if a bit risky to use, but since it is a rogue weapon we believe it could benefit a bit by having some small tuning to make it shoot faster and thus work better with lethal strike. In general it should deal just a tiny bit more damage at low def but be more useful for rogues.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Damage: 115-225 -> 95-195<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Fire Rate: 110% -> 125%<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                              Spectral Ring of Horrors<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                                              This ring spreads its stats far too thin to be useful to most people, for what is mostly a wis rogue set it really needs to be focusing on either wis or dex to get the set in a good place.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
